What an AI employee costs per month: the plan, the AI balance, and how to budget it

Mar 28, 2026 · 6 min read · Updated September 15, 2026

Two lines on the bill. The plan is a fixed monthly price that sets how many AI employees can be active. The AI balance pays for model usage by actual consumption, with a monthly credit on every plan and top-ups when it runs low. Here are the numbers, where the balance goes, and how to plan the first month.

People planning a first AI employee usually ask one question, "what will it cost", and get two answers, because there are two things being paid for. The plan is a subscription: a fixed price for the workspace, the CRM and a limit on active employees. The balance is metered: it pays for the models' work, message by message, and a plan grants some of it every month.

The numbers below are the ones in effect at the time of writing, in the two currencies the platform bills in. Prices are reviewed on a schedule rather than moved with the exchange rate, so they may change; the pricing page is live.

The plan: a fixed price and a limit on employees

One workspace holds all of your projects, and the plan's limit on active AI employees counts across all of them. Every plan includes the CRM, the channels and the process builder; what changes is how many employees can be published at once and how much AI credit lands on the balance each month.

Business9 900 ₽ / $99up to 1002 990 ₽ / $30
Monthly prices as configured in September 2026. Annual billing is discounted against twelve monthly payments. Enterprise is priced individually.

"Active" means published and switched on. An employee you have archived, or one still in draft, does not count, so a Start plan can hold several drafts while one employee works.

The balance: what model usage actually costs

Every run of an employee, a reply, a qualification, a call, consumes model tokens. The platform converts the provider's cost into your wallet currency, applies its markup, and debits the balance inside the same transaction that records the run. There is no per-message price list, because a run's cost depends on how much the employee read and how many tools it called: a short WhatsApp reply from the catalogue costs a fraction of a long thread that needed the knowledge base twice.

The balance is fed from three places. The monthly credit of the plan lands on it automatically. The 14-day trial adds a one-off 500 ₽ or $5. And top-ups are sold in four packages: 990, 2 490, 4 990 and 9 990 ₽, or $10, $25, $50 and $100, credited in the wallet's own currency.

How you find out before it runs dry

The platform estimates the balance's runway from the average daily spend and warns the owners twice: when about seven days remain, and again at two. The check runs every morning, and the warning goes to the notification channels the account has connected, including Telegram. So a balance does not run out silently on a Saturday; you hear about it on the Monday before.

How to plan the first month

The useful budget is not a guess at a number, it is a measurement made in the first two weeks.

  1. Start on the trial. Fourteen days at the Business level with the 500 ₽ or $5 credit is enough to run one employee on one real channel.
  2. Watch the balance page after a week. Divide the spend by the number of conversations the employee handled; that figure, in your currency per conversation, is the only number worth carrying into a plan.
  3. Multiply by your monthly volume of conversations. Compare with the plan's monthly credit: the gap is what you will top up, and it usually says which plan you actually need.
  4. Add the connected services. A phone provider bills minutes, a WhatsApp Cloud account has Meta's conversation pricing, a Green API number has its own fee. None of that goes through the balance.

Where the money goes, and where it does not

The two costs that surprise people are long threads and repeated corrections. A thread where the employee re-reads forty messages to answer the forty-first costs more than the first reply did, which is one reason to let a process hand a stale conversation to a person rather than keep the employee in it. And an employee corrected five times on the same fact has run five times; fixing the document once is cheaper than every approval that followed.

What does not cost balance: reading the approvals queue, editing a draft by hand, the CRM itself, and every tool that only reads. The catalogue lookup during a live call is a database query, not a model call.

Common questions

What does an AI employee cost per month?
A plan from 990 ₽ or $9 a month, which includes the CRM and a monthly AI credit, plus model usage above that credit, metered by actual consumption and paid from a balance you top up.
Is there a price per message?
No. A run is charged by the tokens it consumed, converted to your currency with the platform's markup. A short reply from the catalogue costs a fraction of a long thread that needed the knowledge base twice.
How much AI credit does a plan include?
Start 250 ₽ or $2.50 a month, Growth 890 ₽ or $9, Team 1 490 ₽ or $15, Business 2 990 ₽ or $30. The trial adds 500 ₽ or $5 once.
What happens when the balance runs out?
You are warned before it does: at about seven days of runway and again at two, every morning, in the channels the account has connected. Top-up packages start at 990 ₽ or $10.
Do phone and messaging providers bill separately?
Yes. Telephony minutes, Meta's WhatsApp conversation pricing and messaging gateways are billed by those providers and do not pass through the CRAIM balance.
